AWS is looking for the right individuals for the Registered Nurse position for one of the healthcare clients in Canada..

 

Responsibilities

  • Plans and implements patient care services to patients/clients or groups thereof, based on facility standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, provides nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, documentation, and communication of same.
  • Demonstrates and practices knowledge of current principles techniques and procedures within specified guidelines. Demonstrates knowledge of guidelines as set out by the licensing body and performs duties accordingly and within the established scope of practice.
  • Provides clinical assistance and direction to other members of the patient care team, as appropriate. Provides safe, quality nursing care as directed. Able to prioritize patient care according to the level of acuity.
  • Ability to act on one’s own initiative and display proactive/preventative care methods.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • BN or BScN – Required
  • Degree, diploma, or certification in the respective field required.
  • Completion of a Bachelor of Nursing program or Diploma.
  • Critical care training certificate.
  • Active registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) in good standing or ability to register prior to the placement date is required.
  • The successful applicant will be subject to clearance of a Criminal Record Check within 6 months as a condition of employment.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)

Preferred Qualification

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with 1-2 years of experience in ICU or critical care.
  • Available to work days, nights, evenings, and weekends for 8 and 12 hours shift.
  • Drivers license.
  • A minimum of 2 or more years of experience in their respective fields.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

License/Certification:

  • Driver’s license (preferred)
  • BLS HCP/CPR-C (preferred)
